
Following on from his success at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, Lee headed straight to Dubai for the final event on the European Tour, the Dubai World Championship, at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, UAE.
A place of special memories, Lee won the Dubai World Championship, along with the inaugural Race to Dubai in 2009 and had the honour of wearing the logo throughout 2010.
Last year, he finished in T3rd place on 13-under par. He is currently 5th in the Race to Dubai and 3rd in OWGR.
He had a 12.10 start (8.10GMT) on Thursday with Anders Hansen, recording a 73 and a T35th finish. There was a better day in store for Lee on Friday when shot a 3-under 69, now in T22nd place on the leaderboard. He'd had an earlier 9.20 start with Thomas Bjorn.
"3-under 69 today. Played ok but not quite firing on all cylinders . Putting lovely on the plus side. Still 36 to go and not out of it yet ", he tweeted.
Lee had a 10.55 start on Saturday with David Horsey."Another 69. Bit too far back but a 62 could do some damage. Last day of term tomorrow. Will try to bring a game!", he tweeted, ending the day on 5-under par for the event, and in T16th place, 9 strokes behind leader, Alvaro Quiros.
Lee had a 10.55 tee-time with Ian Poulter, on Sunday and with a final round of 74, was placed T29th on the leaderboard.
He ended the year in 5th place in the Race to Dubai and 3rd in World Rankings.
