The first event for Lee's 2012 schedule on the European Tour is the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, which takes place at the fabulous Abu Dhabi Golf Club from 26th January, and it has an excellent field. Lee's best finish in this event was T2nd in 2008
Currently 2nd in World Ranking, Lee has a 12.05 start from the 1st with Martin Kaymer and Sergio Garcia (7.50 from the 10th on Friday. All times are local - GMT +4 hours).
Lee recorded a level par 72 for his first two rounds and lies in 40th position on the leaderboard.
He had a 9.45 tee-time with Simon Dyson and Joel Sjoholm on Saturday. He struggled with referred pain from his neck and shoulder on Friday, but fared much better on Saturday, with a 4-under, bogey free round (68). He is now in T20th spot, while Tiger Woods took the lead on 9-under par.
Lorenzo Gagli and Simon Dyson joined Lee for the fourth round at 10.10 (6.10 GMT). With a final round of 70, Lee finished in a seven-way tie for 17th position on the leaderboard on 6-under par (288), much improved on last year's 64th placing.
