While at Wentworth last week, Lee met a very special lady who needs your help. LAST CHANCE to own Lee Westwood's golf bag!
Currently 41st in the Race to Dubai and 17th in World Ranking, Lee is at the London Golf Club, Ashford, in Kent this week, for the European Open. Lee won this event in July 1999 and 2000, when it was previously known as the Smurfit European Open (at the K Club in Ireland).

Paired with Alvaro Quiros and Rory McIlroy, Lee has tee-times of 1300 from the 1st on Thursday and 0800 from the 10th on Friday. He made two birdies on the outward nine to go out in 34, but found trouble at the 10th when he had to take a drop, which resulted in a double-bogey at 10. Lee is currently working with Pete Cowan and has made a few changes to his swing. He picked up a shot at 12, then bogeyed 14, but ended the round nicely with birdies at the last two holes on two-under for the day (70) in T37th place.
Lee was at risk of missing the cut again, when he opened with three bogeys in four holes, birdied 15, then double-bogeyed 18 to go out in 40. Two birdies and two bogeys followed on the back nine. He birdied the 8th and a successful sand save from the greenside bunker, nearly added another birdie to his card. Now in T56th place, his second round of 75 meant he was now 1-over for the event.
Lee was between Cambridge and Peterborough in his new Jaguar when he was contacted and told he was back in the tournament, when the cut was set at 1-over.
"I increased my carbon footprint," he said after a disappointing third-round 74. "I got a call - but I wish I hadn't!"
Lee had a 9.18 tee-time with Paul McGinley for the third round, and made two birdies and a bogey, going out in a 1-under 35. He picked up his next birdie at 13 but had a disappointing finish, with double-bogey, bogey, bogey at the last three holes, finishing with a 2-over 74. His 3-over par score of 219, leaves him in T55th place.
Again with Paul McGinley, Lee shot a 2-under 70 (which included five birdies) in the final round, ending the event on 1-over par (289) and in T27th position, earning €18,835.34 in prize money.
Lee is now 38th in the Race to Dubai with €324,408
