The Mercedes-Benz Championship takes place at Golf Club Gut Larchenhof, Cologne in Germany this week.
Lee was paired with Alvaro Quiros and Henrik Stenson at 1300 (GMT +2) from the first on Thursday. It proved to be a frustrating opening round of near misses. Three birdies and a bogey on the opening nine, saw Lee on 2-under but he wasn't able to take further advantage on the back nine, when his two birdies were cancelled out by a bogey at 12 and another at the last. His 2-under 70, earned him T20th spot.
All change for round 2, as Lee joined Darren Clarke and Miguel Angel Jimenez, with an 11.10 tee-time. He carded six birdies, but dropped three shots, ending the day with a 3-under 69, in T14th place, joining five players on 5-under par.
Lee had a 12.05 start on Saturday with Praed Marksaeing and finished in T38th position carding a 72.
With Peter Hedblom and Rodney Pampling and an 11.40 start on Sunday, Lee turned in a fine performance, making birdies at the 1st and 3rd, dropping his only shot at the 7th. He continued to add birdies to his card at 13, 15 and 16, recording a 4-under 68 for the day. His final score of 9-under, 279, earned him another top ten finish, T8th, and €47,000 in prize money. He remains 4th in the Race to Dubai with €1,684,452.
Lee's next event is the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship from October 1st.
